At the end of January this year, our company received an inquiry from an Australian customer about spider cranes. In the inquiry, the customer told us that he wanted a 3t spider crane, but the lifting height was 15 meters. At that time, our sales staff first contacted the customer’s WhatsApp account, and since the customer didn’t want to be disturbed, he asked us to send an email. So our sales staff responded to the customer’s questions one by one and recommended the 5-ton spider crane. They also sent the customer a video of a test of the spider crane previously shipped.

The customer took the initiative to inform us of his needs after reading the email we sent, and we also responded proactively when we contacted the customer again on WhatsApp. Customers were also concerned about whether our products had been exported to Australia, so we sent feedback on Australian jib cranes. At that time, customers were in a hurry to purchase, so the prices were high. So we verbally applied for the ordinary model of spider crane on WhatsApp. The customer thought the price was acceptable and was willing to continue the order. When asked about the budget, the customer only said that we would quote the best price.

Because our spider crane products have been exported to Australia before, we chose to quote a spider crane with a Yanmar engine when quoting the customer. After checking the price, we gave a discount based on the customer’s request, and then the customer expressed that he wanted to purchase this spider crane. But because the credit card was unable to pay us, the order was not completed before the Chinese New Year holiday. However, this customer also stated that he would come to visit our factory when we start work after the holidays.

After the Spring Festival holiday, customers visited our spider crane factory and kept saying that they liked the spider crane. They were very satisfied with the visit and expressed their willingness to pay the advance payment and start production on the same day. However, the credit card payment fee was too high, and the customer said that he would ask his Australian office to use other bank cards to pay the money the next day. When visiting the factory, the customer also stated that if he is satisfied with the first unit, he will place further orders.
