Detailed Explanation of Safety Devices of Spider Crane

Feb 29 2024

The SEVENCRANE spider crane adopts a small, compact, safe and adaptable design concept and complete safety devices, making it an extremely safe and reliable equipment. Users can use the spider crane safely and smoothly, giving full play to its maximum capabilities and efficiency.

1. Hook over-roll alarm/automatic stop device

When the hook rises to the set height, the detector starts and the alarm buzzes. At the same time, the hook roll-up and boom extension stop automatically, and the roll-up light on the display flashes.

2. Alarm/automatic stopping device for the remaining three turns of the drum wire rope

When the hook is released outward and there are only 3 turns of the wire rope left in the drum, the alarm will sound a buzzer, the wire rope drum will automatically stop unwinding, and the over-unwinding light on the display will flash.

3. Hydraulic safety valve, hydraulic self-locking device

The hydraulic system prevents automatic movement when operation is stopped; hydraulic cylinders, etc. are equipped with automatic locking devices.

4. Buzzer and voice alarm

Alarm prompts will be issued when overloading, outrigger setting and crane movement restrictions occur. Voice prompts or alarm prompts are issued when the load is approaching and when functions are switched.

5. Body tilt alarm device

When the body tilt exceeds 15° in the walking state, and when the body tilt exceeds 3° in the lifting state, an alarm will sound.

6. Outrigger safety device (outrigger/hoisting interlock)

7. Torque limiter (anti-overload device)

The working range limit can be set to avoid touching obstacles during operation.

Limit options:

The upper limit of the operating radius; the upper limit of the boom lifting height; the upper limit of the boom raising angle; the lower limit of the boom raising angle.

The function name of the torque limiter display part allows you to intuitively understand the lifting operation parameters.

8. The outriggers are not equipped with warning lights.

If any of the four outriggers is not fixedly set, the warning light will flash (yellow).

9. Three-color working status light

A. Red rotating light (warning light with load rate above 100%)

B. Yellow rotating light (pre-warning light when load rate is less than 90~100%)

C. Green rotating light (action light when load rate is less than 90%)

10. EMO switch (emergency stop)

When an abnormality occurs in the machine or an accident occurs during construction, the engine will be stopped urgently.
