When a spider crane performs lifting operations outdoors, it is inevitably affected by the weather. Winter is cold and rainy, so it is very important to maintain the spider crane in rain and snow. Not only can it improve equipment performance, but it can also extend its service life. Let me share with you how to maintain the spider crane in rainy and snowy days.
Winter weather is cold with rain and snow. If the diesel grade does not match the current working environment temperature, it will cause the fuel circuit to wax or freeze. You must choose the correct fuel.
For water-cooled engines, using cooling water below freezing point will cause the cylinder block and radiator to freeze and crack. Therefore, please check and use antifreeze (coolant) in time.
If the spider crane encounters sudden rain or snow during use, the front panel and torque display screen of the vehicle should be covered immediately, the vehicle should be quickly put away, and placed in a sheltered place such as indoors. It is recommended that you clean the spider crane immediately after rain or snow, and perform a comprehensive maintenance on the paint layer on the surface of the spider crane. At the same time, check whether the vehicle wiring is short-circuited or water has entered, check whether the exhaust tube has water ingress, and clean the exhaust tube in time.
The moisture brought by rain and snow can easily cause corrosion of metal parts such as the chassis of the spider crane. It is recommended that the chassis and other metal structural parts of the spider crane be thoroughly cleaned and rust-proofed. Moisture can also easily cause minor faults such as short circuits in the internal circuits of the spider crane. Therefore, it is recommended that you use special desiccant and other substances to spray on parts prone to trouble such as wires, spark plugs, and high-voltage wires to keep them dry.
