Main Components and Working Principles of Spider Crawler Cranes

Aug 07 2024

Electric spider cranes are widely used in construction, municipal engineering and industrial equipment installation due to their flexibility and efficiency. Their unique design and versatility make them particularly good in complex environments and small spaces.

Main Components

Chassis: The chassis of the spider crawler crane is the basic part of the entire equipment, responsible for supporting the weight and stability of the entire crane. The chassis is usually equipped with tracks or tires to enhance the mobility and passability of the equipment.

Support feet: The support feet are used to stabilize the equipment during operation and prevent overturning. They can be telescopic and adjusted according to terrain conditions to ensure that the equipment can maintain balance and stability under various ground conditions.

Boom: The boom is the main working part of the spider crawler crane, used to lift and move heavy objects. The boom usually adopts a multi-stage telescopic design, and the length and angle can be adjusted as needed.

Control system: The control system includes an operating panel, a joystick and a wireless remote control, etc., which are used to operate and control the various functions of the spider crane.

Working Principle

The working principle of mobile spider crane is based on the coordinated action of hydraulic transmission and electronic control system. The lifting, extension and rotation of the boom, as well as the unfolding and adjustment of the support legs are realized by controlling the hydraulic system.

The operator controls the chassis through the control system to move the mobile spider crane to the designated position. According to the terrain conditions, the support legs are unfolded, the height and angle are adjusted to ensure that the equipment remains level and stable.

The hydraulic system is operated through the control system to extend and adjust the boom. The multi-stage telescopic design of the boom enables it to reach the required working height and radius.

During the lifting operation, the operator accurately controls the position of the hook and boom through the control system to ensure the smooth lifting and placement of the heavy objects.

The electric spider crane realizes flexible and efficient operation in complex environments and confined spaces. Its hydraulic transmission and electronic control system provide powerful power and precise control, enabling it to complete various lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
