Summer Maintenance Tips for Spider Cranes

Апр 30 2025

To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of журавли-пауки during the hot and humid summer months, it’s crucial to implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy. The following guidelines are designed to help operators and maintenance teams keep spider cranes in top condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

Summer Maintenance Tips for Spider Cranes

1.Cooling System Maintenance

-Regular Cleaning: Before the onset of summer, thoroughly clean the cooling system components, including radiators and fans, to remove dust and debris that can impede airflow.

-Inspect and Tighten Connections: Check all hoses and clamps for signs of wear or looseness, ensuring there are no leaks or weak points in the system.

2.Hydraulic System Care

-Filter Replacement: Replace hydraulic oil filters regularly. Specifically, change the return oil filter every 500 operating hours and the suction oil filter every 1,000 hours to maintain hydraulic fluid cleanliness.

-Heat Exchanger Cleaning: Depending on usage frequency, clean the hydraulic system’s heat exchanger every six months to ensure efficient heat dissipation.

3.Structural Integrity Checks

-Daily Inspections: Conduct daily checks of the crane’s structural components, including the boom and outriggers, for signs of cracks, corrosion, or other damage.

-Rust Prevention: Promptly address any rust spots by cleaning and repainting affected areas to prevent further corrosion, especially during the rainy season.

4.Lubrication Practices

-Seasonal Oil Changes: Switch to summer-grade engine oil and lubricants before the hot season begins to ensure optimal viscosity and protection under high temperatures.

-Leak Detection: Perform monthly checks for oil leaks, paying close attention to fuel lines and hydraulic connections.

5.Electrical System Maintenance

-Battery Care: Reduce charging currents during summer to prevent overheating. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and free from corrosion.

-Wiring Inspection: Replace any aging or damaged wires and verify that all fuses meet the required safety standards.

-Fire Safety: Equip the crane with a fire extinguisher as a precautionary measure.

5.Hose and Radiator Checks

Hose Inspection: Before each use, examine radiator hoses for signs of wear, cracks, or leaks. Replace any compromised hoses immediately to prevent engine overheating.

7.Monitoring Operating Temperatures

Temperature Gauge Monitoring: Keep an eye on the water temperature gauge during operations. If temperatures exceed 90℃, stop the паук-журавль in a shaded area and allow the engine to idle until it cools down to normal levels.

8.Proper Storage

-Shaded Parking: Whenever possible, park the crane in shaded areas to protect it from direct sunlight, which can cause overheating and damage to components.

-Use of Covers: If shaded parking isn’t available, use light-colored, waterproof covers to shield the crane from sun exposure.

Supplying SS3.0 and SS5.0 Spider Cranes to a Brazilian Client

In January 2024, we initiated contact with a prominent Brazilian distributor specializing in lifting equipment. The client, previously an exclusive agent for Maeda spider cranes in Brazil, was exploring alternative suppliers to diversify their offerings.

Client Requirements: SS3.0 and SS5.0 spider cranes.

Customization:

-Power System: Equipped with both electric motors and Yanmar diesel engines to provide versatile power options.

-Control System: Integrated with a cyber remote control system featuring proportional control valves for precise operation.

-Safety Features: Included torque limiters and indicators, three-wrap winch alarms, hook overwind alarms, and outrigger sensors to enhance operational safety.

-Boom Configuration: Two-section single extension booms for flexible lifting capabilities.

-Voltage Specification: Configured for 220V, 60Hz, 3-phase power supply to match local standards.

-Hydraulic Fly Jib: A hydraulic fly jib was added to the 5-ton spider crane to extend its reach and versatility.

-Color Customization: Both cranes were painted in a custom green color matching the client’s previous order.

Production and Delivery: The client emphasized the importance of completing production within 20 working days to allow for on-site testing.

Гарантия качества: Given the client’s background and potential for future orders, we ensured meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of the cranes’ manufacturing and assembly processes.
